The Champadevi hill day hike is a another popular and easy nature hike that can be done from Kathmandu. Pharping village, which is about an hour's drive from Thamel in Kathmandu, is where the hike begins. The trail ascends through the forest from Pharping to the 2,285 meters (7,497 ft) peak of Champadevi hill.

The Champadevi Day walk requires 5 to 6 hours to accomplish and is quite easy with a gentle climb. The route is well-kept and simple to navigate. You will pass through stunning woods of rhododendrons, oak, and pine trees, as well as a variety of other flora and flowers, along the journey. Tigers, leopards, monkeys, squirrels, and birds could also be seen.

The view from the summit of Champadevi hill is the hike's high point. In addition to the city of Patan, Bungmati, Khokana, Pharping, and the Himalayan ranges, we can view the entire Kathmandu valley on a clear day. Several monasteries can be seen on our left side as we move toward the Champadevi hill. The Himalayan highlights of the journey are the picturesque grandeur of the Ganesh, Mt. Langtang, Mount Gaurishanker ranges, and other peaks.

For families and those who like to trek with children, the Champadevi hill day hike is ideal. Even if we don't get to see the mountain peaks, the natural climb to Champadevi is ideal all year round because it gives stunning landscapes. We shall avoid the roads, hunks, and dusty track because there are no roads after the Pharing.
